This policy explains the types of information AZIMART may handle when you use the marketplace, and how that information supports accounts, listings, orders, payments, fulfillment and support.
Last updated: September 24, 2026
This policy applies to information processed through AZIMART's website, accounts and marketplace workflows. It should be read together with the Terms of Service and the other policies linked from the platform.
AZIMART may update its systems as the platform develops. Where a new feature changes the information collected or how it is used, the applicable privacy information should be updated accordingly.
Depending on the features you use, this can include your name, email address, phone number, authentication/account information and profile details.
Seller activation can involve store name, county, phone number and optional business/profile information such as town or area, description, logo, public email and WhatsApp contact. The seller setup flow also records required consent choices, including data-processing and background-verification consent.
AZIMART processes information needed to operate listings, inventory, carts, orders, fulfillment, disputes and seller performance or transaction records.
Marketplace payments currently use M-Pesa. AZIMART can process transaction-related information such as payment status, references and order/payment records needed to reconcile and support transactions. Do not send your M-Pesa PIN or OTP to AZIMART.
If you contact AZIMART through support channels, we may receive the information you choose to provide, including information needed to identify an account or investigate an order, payment, delivery or dispute issue.
Like most web services, the platform and its infrastructure may process technical information needed for security, reliability, diagnostics and operation. The exact information depends on the service or browser/device configuration involved.
Some information is intended to be visible to other marketplace users because it is part of a listing or seller profile. Sellers should not place private credentials or unnecessary personal information in public listing content.
Information connected to an order may be shared with the parties and service providers involved where necessary to complete or support that transaction, subject to applicable access controls and law.
AZIMART may use service providers for infrastructure, authentication, payments, communications, storage, fulfillment or other operational functions. Such providers may process information on AZIMART's behalf or under their own applicable terms.
Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law, legal process, or to protect the rights, security and integrity of AZIMART, users or others.
AZIMART uses access controls and security measures appropriate to the systems and information involved. Authentication, payment and database infrastructure can also rely on specialized service providers.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Users are also responsible for protecting their credentials and devices.
AZIMART will not ask you to disclose an M-Pesa PIN, OTP or account password through a support request.
AZIMART may use cookies, browser storage or similar mechanisms required for authentication, preferences, security and normal application functionality.
Where analytics or other optional technologies are enabled, their collection should be governed by the applicable settings and notices presented by the platform or provider. Browser controls can also affect cookie behavior.
Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including operating accounts and transactions, resolving disputes, maintaining security, and meeting applicable legal or record-keeping requirements.
AZIMART does not state fixed retention periods on this page where a specific period has not been established for the underlying workflow. Retention can differ by data type and legal or operational requirement.
Depending on applicable law and the circumstances of the processing, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion or other forms of control over processing.
Requests should identify the account or information involved and provide enough detail for AZIMART to understand the request. Some requests may be subject to legal, security or operational limitations.
For privacy requests, contact support@azimart.co.ke or use the Contact page.
Marketplace activity such as listings, availability, searches, orders and transaction information can provide operational signals used to improve discovery, seller support and marketplace performance.
AZIMART's longer-term goal is to develop better market intelligence from marketplace data. This page does not represent AZIMART as a complete national agricultural intelligence system, and any future analytical use remains subject to applicable privacy requirements and platform design.
AZIMART is a marketplace service and is not intentionally designed to collect information from children. Where applicable law imposes additional requirements for children's information, those requirements will apply.
AZIMART can depend on third-party infrastructure and services to operate parts of the marketplace. Those providers may have their own privacy notices and terms.
AZIMART is not responsible for privacy practices on external websites that users access through links from the platform.
This policy may be revised when the platform, data practices or applicable requirements change. The current version and its update date are published on this page.
