Our Story
Azimart was inspired by a challenge we witnessed across Kenya. In regions like Nyandarua, farmers often sell potatoes, cabbages, and milk at extremely low prices due to oversupply. Meanwhile, counties such as Turkana, Garissa, Marsabit, Kilifi, and Lamu face shortages and higher food prices.
We believe technology can bridge this gap by connecting producers directly with buyers, reducing food waste while increasing farmers' income.
The platform was founded by Joel Mwangi, who saw firsthand how inefficient supply chains and multiple middlemen were hurting both farmers and consumers. What started as an idea to solve a local problem is now becoming a digital marketplace for Kenya's agricultural trade.
